The app
ClipHistory runs entirely on your Mac. Your clipboard history is stored encrypted on disk with AES‑256‑GCM; the key lives in your Keychain, never on disk. It does not create user accounts and has no telemetry. Clipboard data from password managers is skipped automatically, and you can exclude any app from being recorded.
The only network request the app makes is an update check on launch, which asks GitHub whether a newer version exists. Your clipboard contents never leave your machine.
The website
This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy‑first service hosted in the EU. Plausible uses no cookies, collects no personal data, and does not track you across sites; all data is aggregated and anonymous. You can read its policy at plausible.io/privacy.
If you enter your email address to be notified about updates, that address is sent to this site and used only to email you about ClipHistory. It is never sold or shared.
